John has been invited into some of the top kitchens in Canada and has had the pleasure of working along side several Gold Medal Chefs. He has displayed his culinary talents at numerous restaurants in throughout western Canada.

John returned to school in 1996 and received his "Food and Hospitality Management" Certificate and opened his own successful "In-Home Catering" Company, "John Berry's Celebrity Kitchen".

John has performed his cooking show at most of the major trade shows and conventions in and around North Central Alberta.

John has been featured at seminars, corporate meetings and trade fairs, bringing his unique flair and sense of humor to thousands. He has been a regular performer at the Canadian Boat and Sportsman's Show for 5 years, the Rocky Mountain Food and Wine show for 2 years, the Nisku Wine Fair for 4 years, and the Gilroy world Garlic Festival in California for 2 years.

 

 

John is a multiple National Award winning Radio & TV Journalist who currently writes for Edmontonians Magazine, "Lively Lifestyles" section - "Menu  Magic," and was the featured food writer for the Edmonton Sun for 4 years. His recipes have been featured in numerous cookbooks and promotional pamphlets and on several web sites. He is also a contributor to "Let's Go Outdoors" radio show with Michael Short and is seen frequently on Access TV. John is available as a guest speaker or MC.
